Poison, Poison Everywhere Thoughts

This article, while short, was quite scary, learning about poison that is even right now coursing through the veins of innocent people. While poison on its own is scary this is a far worse situation as it is not just a few people it is affecting thousands. What makes it so scary is that it not only can it be found on things that we use everyday more specifically pans that we use to cook food, which means that a majority of people are mostly being poisoned without even being aware of the terrible thing that is about to happen. The poison itself can also last anywhere from 5 to 15 years and it does not activate immediately it could sit inside of you and then one day you realize that you are sick and have know idea of the pain that you are about to endure. This poison has even been found in unborn children, people that have not even had a chance to live and enjoy life have their own life taken from them. It is sad to really think that this is true. That a company had for whatever reason developed this chemical for a purpose but it ended up being exposed to people and causing a lot of death and pain. This article made me genuinely question the thought process that the head of a company goes through when their product has started to cause real issues in people's lives to the point that people start dying. The article and the discussion that we had after words did remind me of Radium Girls as it was mentioned by someone in our discussion. It makes you think of the position that people in controle are put in constantly as they are in some much power and control that if they make one discussion could either benefit their life or completely destroy it. This article has a lot to it when you really think about it as it deals with social issues and what is the right thing to do to benefit the people. It also deals with fault and who is really to blame and how they should be punished and what they will do to make up for the tragic mess that they have created.
