With what party do you most affiliate? VS. Coronavirus-related Issues 


One thing I found most interesting about the survey was the Party opinions versus opinions on Coronavirus. The majority of people that took this survey but still a big percentage of people were republican. Some were other parties such as Green or Libertarian but only a very small percentage. I think that there were lots of votes for agreeing with a mandated vaccine, lots of votes for increasing taxes for free vaccines, and lots of votes for government-mandated masks because there was a large percentage of democratic participants. More often than usual Democrats are more open to or push for fighting coronavirus. You can see how many more people who participated in this survey are inclined to want to stop the virus especially in the last question with many votes for strongly agreeing with government-mandated masks. I found it quite strange that for the questions about mandated vaccines and to impose taxes for a free vaccine there were not more votes. Although the majority of the votes were for those kinds of things, I thought there would be more. All in all, I thought that the number of votes for trying to stop the virus faster did match with the number of people affiliated with the democratic party. 



I thought this survey worked very well. There were no big issues that I can think of. I think it would have been cool to have charts showing how many democrats voted for a certain option. I know if you look at the responses in sheets you would be able to find it. If there is some way to make it more accessible it would be easier to compare. There might be another way to survey people other than google forms that could show that.

Arkansas' Anti-trans bill

  Isa Pedersen  Mr. Roddy  IHSS 9 April 2021 Arkansas’ Anti-trans bill  For centuries the trans community was discriminated against. But recently Arkansas passed a bill that highly affects trans rights and healthcare. The bill states that trans individuals are not allowed to get gender affirming surgeries. This included hormones such as testosterone and androgen, as well as puberty blockers. This is said to be one of the most detrimental bills passed against the trans community in ages. Not only this but some states have already passed bills that don't allow trans kids to take part in sports or competitions. These states include Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Tennessee and Alabama are already starting to get the same bill passed. Texas is on the list that is assumed to follow Arkansas and pass the bill as well. However, in Latin America it is an even bigger issue. Across all of Latin America, the health crisis has been accompanied by civic disruptions causing the lack of communication and justice in civic spaces.
