How Biden plans to fight Climate Change

As I mentioned during discussion two things really called out to me in this article. How the Biden-Harris climate plan wants to cut greenhouse emissions to zero towards all power sectors by 2035. I find this date shocking because even though this is fourteen years from now which can be a long time for a lot of things in life but for most things involving climate change time is not on our side. The amount of collaboration this task would need, and agreements. Even taking into consideration all the great things the Biden-Harris climate plan entails there is no saying how much of it will stay after his term and most of which won’t be successful unless these laws stay in place for the foreseeable future of presidents. The other two issues would be how long it would take to pass a few of these laws that would enforce cleaner energy.

The second issue is many setbacks the U.S has taken by the Trump Administration when coming to the Issue of Climate Change most of which take way over one or even terms to fix. The second thing I found really interesting in this article was how it stated how as of now Transportation has become Nation's leading Emitter of Carbon Dioxide. A I think a good portion of us know one of the highest increases for everyone's carbon footprint is transportation in all forms. Meaning the amount of times you use a car, buses and plans to travel. I think America uses cars and buses in many scenarios that are not necessary but it is a luxury we aren't ready to give up yet. Mainly because the benefits of these transportations in our personal lives outweighs having a true commitment and willingness to take action to fight climate change.
