Climate change economics
The article that I read was about how different people's opinions are not easily changed by information, but become stronger. When providing further information about a topic, research shows that individuals will become more confident in their opinion and believe that their standpoint is correct. This evidence is shown in any discussion between two people, or two parties, or organizations where both parties disagree with each other and have opposing opinions. One example of this is between the people that think that climate change is real and those who do not. The author encourages the reader to identify and analyze the other person's skeptics about the topic. This is much more effective rather than continue to argue and provide more information along the same lines and the information that you just applied. In the critical, the reader encourages others to provide this tactic to the issue of climate change. Recently climate change hasn't been getting as much attention that it should. Because a large percentage of people believe that climate change is fake and isn't a big problem for our economy, the world hasn't been able to address the issue. If we start applying this to our personal discussions and to the government's discussions about climate change we can apply these economical tactics to our standpoint that climate change is a real issue and It needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
Climate change is a very big issue that is greatly impacting our society whether we decide to recognize it or not. in order to work towards fixing the situation, we all need to be on the same page. I think that this method of discussion about important topics is very interesting and I will differently be applying this to any arguments or discussions with a person that doesn't have the same standpoint as myself.
