IHSS "Liberty"

  Alice Korkin Mr. Roddy IHSS  February 7, 2020 “Liberty”    My definition of Liberty is being free but under the control of the government. Montesquieu’s definition includes the safety of the people. "Tranquillity of mind arising from the opinion each person has of his safety." I agree with this because I also think keeping people safe is important and without rules or laws in a country it will be total chaos. In some countries, laws are way too strict on people. If you are over protectant on people the country won't be a happy place at all. If you just do one small mistake it can wind you down for years of trouble. Liberty is the balance of governmental control. Laws have to be equal for everyone and can not target a single group of people. Laws are supposed to make you feel safe without being confined. With what party do you most affiliate? VS. Coronavirus-related Issues

With what party do you most affiliate? VS. Coronavirus-related Issues  One thing I found most interesting about the survey was the Party opinions versus opinions on Coronavirus. The majority of people that took this survey but still a big percentage of people were republican. Some were other parties such as Green or Libertarian but only a very small percentage. I think that there were lots of votes for agreeing with a mandated vaccine, lots of votes for increasing taxes for free vaccines, and lots of votes for government-mandated masks because there was a large percentage of democratic participants. More often than usual Democrats are more open to or push for fighting coronavirus. You can see how many more people who participated in this survey are inclined to want to stop the virus especially in the last question with many votes for strongly agreeing with government-mandated masks. Non-Stick Will Stick Around Throughout the years invention and innovation have yielded several products to make our lives easier. Whether this change is as big as being able to cross a continent in hours by means of air travel or having the ability to get an omelet out of a pan without a struggle by means of non-stick technology, these inventions all affect us and those around us more than we think. Most use non-stick pans and stain removal products with ease, knowing that there is a quick fix to their situation. However, we would be more hesitant to do so if we were aware that these products could be slowly poisoning us. Most non-stick items and stain removal inventions have chemicals in them called PFOA’s and PFOS’s. Tests have been conducted on these chemicals that show they can have vastly negative effects on the environment and living creatures.
