CP Engagement Blog

While I was researching and emailing with experts or people on the boards of government organizations, I realized that this problem cannot be influenced or solved by citizens. The power grid of an entire state and the companies behind it are way too large. Most issues with our energy system in Texas would have to be solved with a decision from Texas legislation, as was brought to my attention by Mr. Barlow from the PUC. Although, as I have stated in my other blog, they are working on this, and many bills have been filed.
With all of this said, I think the best course of action, and the one I am going to take is to make an info graphic that gives essential information about how to prepare and survive through a power outage. It will contain as much info as possible without being a paper, and still looking nice, clean, and pleasing to the eye. I plan to post some around my neighborhood and at the school. This will be very helpful because hurricane season is coming up.
