How the U.S Economy Is Healing
This article talked about what is happening right now that can lead to future predictions for the U.S economy. Giving a pretty thorough rundown on how the unemployment rate won’t reach 3.5 until at least the end of the decade. How the country won’t be seeing pre-pandemic unemployment until 2024. How small businesses continue to struggle. How Biden would like to release another 1.9 trillion stimulus check discussing how this may complicate the road for the U.S economy to heal. Mentioning briefly that a few economists don’t think this is the wisest choice and that it may overheat the economy.
Though as of now the economy is not being overheated. Others say that this 1.9 trillion stimulus check will help the economy grow rapidly. A few people believe this will simply just add more stress to the economy with the upcoming years saying how the government can't keep giving out money to people who don't desperately need it for food and paying landlords are just simply going to overstimulate the economy.
I think this article is important to adolescents because we are currently living through an unmarked event in history. We still have nothing set in stone predicating how the struggle the economy has faced will affect both current generations and even adolescents. This field of study are also important for adolescents to have at least a pretty good grasp on, because of simply the large role the economy plays within everyday lives. The article contributes to the field of study because It directly relates to the current events happening with the economy diving head on with percentages and predicted years when things will improve. Meaning how things will improve for unemployment rates and the need for a growth of the economy. Both of these issues have the same goal of improving well past the levels of the pre-pandemic states that both the economy was in and the unemployment rates that need to be lowered. From what I gathered from the article the overall verdict is that the U.S economy is well on it's way to healing and hitting all the goals and predictions the governments wishes, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
