Disturbances in the capitol


I read and also analyzed the article which touches on the disturbance that happened in the Capitol on January 6 of 2021. Some of the thoughts that I had while reading this complex and interesting article in Spanish was about how the media were making the audience see these protests as a completely violent situation which I personally agreed since the beginning with this affirmation for the simple fact that I proved this by myself when I watched the news of the United States where basically they news posted directly the word violence when they were reporting this situation which was a very important and interesting thing that will show to the public what these protestors really are with videos and images. 


The next topic that I went through and I had different thoughts about it, was about how in brief words, the article shows how despite the words from one person, it can influence the way of thinking of a certain group with the same beliefs which basically it was talking about how President Trump was influencing with their tweets to their followers to make disturbs in the capitol. Now, the thoughts that I have about this is that I actually saw this as how weak can some people be because people can follow leaders without having enough knowledge and maturity to realize that perhaps that leader is wrong and it is not worth to follow him which I personally see Trump as a kind of a racial supremacy leader which people follow him because of a certain topic without diving into or thinking it, which in brief words he just talks about topics with wrong ideas and some people just like the ideas which it is a big problem right now for the United States and also for many countries around the world that have leaders with the same common things.

Arkansas' Anti-trans bill

  Isa Pedersen  Mr. Roddy  IHSS 9 April 2021 Arkansas’ Anti-trans bill  For centuries the trans community was discriminated against. But recently Arkansas passed a bill that highly affects trans rights and healthcare. The bill states that trans individuals are not allowed to get gender affirming surgeries. This included hormones such as testosterone and androgen, as well as puberty blockers. This is said to be one of the most detrimental bills passed against the trans community in ages. Not only this but some states have already passed bills that don't allow trans kids to take part in sports or competitions. These states include Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Tennessee and Alabama are already starting to get the same bill passed. Texas is on the list that is assumed to follow Arkansas and pass the bill as well. However, in Latin America it is an even bigger issue. Across all of Latin America, the health crisis has been accompanied by civic disruptions causing the lack of communication and justice in civic spaces. Widespread quarantines and lockdowns have put a lot of stress on the civic system of all countries.
