Voter poll analysis
The two sections I decided to analyze were gender equality and issues of racism. I have noticed that many of the people that support gender equality also support racial equality, so I though it would be interesting to look at from actual data. From looking just at the general data and not at any specific answers it looks like most people that took the survey support BLM and gender equality and realize that there are still many issues regarding this today. When I looked further into it and saw all the specific responses I saw that I had guessed correctly. For the most part, the people that said there was no gender inequality in the workplace voted that there was little to no issues with white supremacy. As well as most of the people that voted that they support BLM also voted that they think that the continued rise of women's influence in popular culture, government, and business is a positive thing and that women shouldn't have a "pink tax". Another thing that I had expected was that most of the people that voted that president Trump's response to current protests has been helpful towards bringing equality toward people of color also voted ALM for their stance on the current BLM movement. There were also people that had surprising answers, they had voted that they knew there is inequality in the work place and that the rise of women's influence in popular culture, government, and business is a positive thing, but then they voted that women should have to pay a "pink tax". Another response that surprised me was that multiple people voted I don't support BLM, but then voted that White Supremacy is no longer an issue. I wasn't expecting this because I think that if someone thinks white supremacy is not an issue anymore would also support BLM.
I think that we could've made this survey more accurate if we had more time to distribute the survey. I also think that we should try to get the survey to more people who we don't know, so that we can get a more accurate result. I also think that some people, including me, didn't make it clear enough that it was just for voters, so maybe putting it on out instagram story where many people that can't vote yet was not a great idea. I do think that the reason it wasn't as accurate was because we couldn't walk around and ask random people. Other than that I think that making the survey went really well and I liked how we came up with questions and then improved them as a group so that they were the best they could be.
