Thomas and Friends

Well I chose this mark of toys because they actually represented a main part of my childhood and also I remembered that I spent playing with them which for me it was like playing video games or the guitar nowadays. The specific toy that It was my favorite it was actually the main character, “Thomas” and it wasn’t a surprised because I saw this toy as a way to express perfection and love for small details that not to much kids of that age cared about, but what I felt about Thomas it was something very special.

It was a small train of a color blue and with a happy face in the front of the machine. This train worked with batteries so it could move around without any help but personally I didn’t like that option because I liked to move it manually because it gave a very hard feeling to express but you felt that you were that train and that you were completing the imaginary tasks that were in the Island.

When I first saw the train in the stores, the presentation of the product was about Thomas as the main character and a hero and that you could have more advantages than any other train (that’s what at least I felt when I saw this marketing). After seeing this presentation I knew that I needed that product because I felt that Thomas was a beautiful machine with a simple model but with a very powerful meaning while seeing it. It was something necessary for satisfying my happiness which actually when I got it I played with it all day and almost all night and I didn’t get tired because that toy was very special to me because it represented that freedom of going anywhere I wanted that I sometimes couldn't  in real life.

The first time I saw this product was in the TV and It actually was a teaser of the movie called “Thomas and the Magic Railroad” which later I liked because of my passion on trains and after that my parents and I started to research it because there wasn't those trains in Mexico until we found the toys and merchandise in the USA. This company was presenting the trains as toys without gender which it actually didn’t matter if it was for boys or girls but personally I saw it more for boys and the toys actually gave values to kids and that is what this company tries to give which it is something very special.
